Abstract Plain Text:

This paper describes the measurement of D$^+_{\rm s}$ nuclear modification factor $\RAA$ in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}= 2.76~\tev$ in the centrality classes 0-10\% and 20-50\%.
The production of prompt D$^+_{\rm s}$ mesons was measured using the 2011 Pb-Pb sample collected by the ALICE detector. D$^+_{\rm s}$ mesons and their charge conjugates were reconstructed in the central rapidity region from their hadronic decay channel D$^+_{\rm s} \rightarrow \phi \pi$, with $\phi \rightarrow K^+ K^-$, in the transverse momentum ranges 4 $<$ $\pt$ $<$ 12 GeV/c and 6 $<$ $\pt$ $<$ 8 GeV/c for the centrality classes 0-10\% and 20-50\% respectively. The $\pt$-differential production yields were used to calculate the nuclear modification factor $\RAA$ with respect to a pp reference, obtained from the cross section measured at $\sqrt{s}= 7~\tev$ and scaled to 2.76 TeV.
