Abstract Plain Text:

The production of prompt D0, D+ and D*+ mesons is studied in p-Pb colliisions as a function of transverse momentum and rapidity.

The results are compared to predictions from pQCD calculations with nuclear modified PDFs.

The contribution of prompt D mesons in the raw yield is estimated with a data-driven approach and compared with the results obtained using pQCD calculations.

For D0 mesons, the pt-differential cross section is measured in pp collisions at 7 TeV and p-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV using an analysis technique not based on geometrical selections on the decay topology. This allows to measure the D0 production cross section down to pt=0 and to ontain the pt-integrated cross section for D0 production at midrapidity without the need for extrapolations.

The D0 nuclear modification factor in p-Pb collisions at 5.02 TeV is calculated down to pt=0.
