On Dec. 6th, after a successfull restart of the LHC, first collisions were recorded in the ALICE TPC. Below are a few screenshots from the online-monitor.

The figure below shows one of the first measured 7 TeV proton-proton events in the ALICE detector as a 3D-imge of particle tracks. The data was taken on March 30th, 2010. It shows particle tracks globally reconstructed from the Inner Tracking Detector (ITS), the Time-Projection Chamber (TPC), the Transition Radiation Detector (TRD) and the Time-of-Flight (TOF) system.
